He was 15 years old when he became a chess prodigy and the youngest American Grandmaster. He also won the USA Championship nearly five times. In Chess Olympiads, Nakamura won two team bronze medals and one Team Gold medal for the United States. He was number one globally in the list of FIDE ratings and Rapid and Blitz Chess Rating.
